Are you struggling to build and engage your email marketing list?
Do you draw a blank with what content to send out to your subscribers?
You may not even have an opt in/freebie/lead magnet (whatever you want to call it – basically something to entice people to hand over their email address) and you never consistently email your list.
You know you should be doing more to grow your list and to market to them but you just don’t have time or patience to do it right now.
If this sounds familiar, let’s talk about how I can help you automate email funnels in your business, set up easy email campaigns and give you loads of opt in ideas.
By the time I have finished with you Email Marketing will never be a headache again.
What Is Email Marketing?
Email marketing is the process of building a list of ideal customers that are interested in what you have to offer and then sending them valuable content from time to time. The aim is to nurture theses contacts and build a relationship with them so that over time they become paying and returning customers.
Why should I be sending emails to my list?
Email marketing is still the cheapest form of marketing. This is your chance to have a 1:1 conversation with your prospects and customers.
Email marketing builds the know, like and trust factor and keeps you in the front of your customers mind. They may not be ready to buy straight away, but by being in their inbox, you have a good chance of converting them when they are ready to buy.
What is a freebie/lead magnet/opt in?
Whatever you want to call it a freebie/lead magnet/opt in is essentially something that you are giving away for free in order to collect an email address and permission for you to send emails. For product businesses, discount codes work well. I have a list of freebie ideas for product businesses right here if you’re struggling for ideas?
Since GDPR came into effect in May 2018, you now have to ask for explicit permission to send marketing emails.
Which email platform should I use?
When you are starting out, I highly recommend Mailchimp. Mailchimp is free to use up to 2000 subscribers and it includes automations such as abandoned basket emails, welcome sequences and review requests.
What emails should I be automating?
As a product business, I highly recommend that you have an abandoned basket/cart email set up. According to Omnisend, 75.6% of carts were abandoned in 2018. Of those that received an abandoned basket email, 46.% opened, 13.3% clicked and 35% end up completing their purchase. Imagine applying those stats to your business.
As well as abandoned basket, I recommend that you have a welcome sequence that flows from your freebie. This will nurture and warm up your leads.
For post purchasers you can request reviews and up sell other products. All with the power of automation.
How can you help me?
I can help you by assessing your current email marketing situation. I’ll then make recommendations on what you could do yourself, or you can outsource the work for me.
I can help with the content planning, email campaign execution and setting up your automations.
